Our Mission
Our goal is to provide children from underserved areas with school supplies and books. One of the barriers that many students face to a quality education is a lack of basic school supplies and books. It’s difficult to succeed in your educational path without the most basic of school supplies, including pencils, notebooks, backpacks and books for reading. We believe that every child should have access to learning resources necessary to have a good education.

Got Books NJ was created by us, two middle school brothers who wanted to make a difference. We realized there were so many children that needed access to books and school supplies. Got Books NJ was created by us, two middle school brothers who wanted to make a difference. We realized there were so many children that needed access to books and school supplies. We came up with a plan to help. Got Books NJ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed by twin brothers, Ajay and Aneel Pitchumoni. Our objective is to collect school supplies from the community and to distribute them to children in low socioeconomic areas who need them to assist in their education. The goal is to distribute donated supplies to shelters, hospitals, clinics, safe homes, and food pantries. All children should have access to the tools necessary to have a good education.
Children love the excitement of tearing open a fresh new pack of pencils, crayons , markers or the smell of a new book! It is all about building excitement for reading and school! With a bit of creativity, energy and a plan , we can foster the love for learning for children!
